SpeechTeach Privacy Policy

Effective 2026-08-18

SpeechTeach is built so that we cannot see your child’s data, because it never leaves your device.

What we collect: nothing.

SpeechTeach has no accounts, no sign-up, no advertising, no analytics, and no third-party SDKs. The app makes no network calls in normal use. Our App Store privacy label says “Data Not Collected” and this policy is the long form of that promise.

The microphone.

SpeechTeach listens while your child practises so it can recognise the word they said. Speech recognition and sound scoring run entirely on the device. Short recordings of your child’s attempts are saved on the device only, behind the grown-ups PIN, so you can hear their progress over time. You can delete them at any time from the parent portal, and deleting the app deletes everything.

Sharing.

Nothing is ever sent anywhere unless you, the parent, explicitly tap share: the therapist report and its recordings go only to the destination you choose (for example your own email), using the standard iOS share sheet. We never receive a copy.

Children.

SpeechTeach is used by children with a grown-up. Because no data is collected from anyone, no personal information is collected from children.

Payments.

SpeechTeach is a one-time purchase handled entirely by Apple’s App Store. We do not process or see payment information.

Changes.

If this policy ever changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date. It cannot change retroactively: data that was never collected cannot be un-promised.
